If you want to find a partner, you should visit a temple in Taiwan!

I Want to Be "The One" – When Will I Finally Meet My Soulmate? 😭 Don't Lose Hope, Everyone!

BunBun is back with a guide to Taiwan's must-visit temples for love blessings. If you're looking for a partner or wish for a great love, kick off the New Year with a visit to these handpicked temples. I guarantee that next year, loneliness won’t be an issue! 😖💓

  1. Lungshan Temple – A famous temple over 300 years old
This temple houses many gods, but for love, you'll be praying to Yue Lao, the Old Man Under the Moon. After making offerings at each shrine, you can proceed with your love prayers.
    ⛳️ Tips:

    • Enter from the right entrance and exit from the left 🚪
    • Before praying, introduce yourself – state your name, age, address, date of birth, and zodiac sign. Describe your ideal partner in detail, so the deity knows exactly who to find for you. Then, ask any love-related questions you may have and wish for a red string of fate.
    • Pick up the “Moon Blocks” (two red crescent-shaped wooden pieces) and cast them on the ground three times. If each throw results in one block facing up and one down, your wish has been granted! Go receive your red string. If not, it may mean the timing isn’t right – just come back to pray again.
    • Lungshan Temple is also famous for its powerful amulets. Don’t forget to buy one to carry with you for love and luck!
  2. Xia-Hai City God Temple – Another famous temple in Taipei for love blessings
Many people visit this temple believing the deity here can help those who have had unfulfilled love or those still searching for "the one" to meet their perfect match. Many have found their soulmate faster than expected after praying here.
    ⛳️ Tips:

    • After praying, place the paper offerings you bought in the red box – the temple will burn them to complete the ritual.
    • If you purchase an amulet, circle it three times clockwise over the incense burner at the front of the temple, then carry it with you. Remember, don’t buy a love amulet from this temple as a gift for someone else; legend has it that they might fall for you instead! 😳😵‍💫
  3. Lecheng Temple – Famous for the Red String of Fate
Located in Taichung, this temple has a 260-year history. It’s known for a display board featuring couples who successfully found love after praying here – a powerful testament! 🥺 The praying ritual is similar to Lungshan Temple, involving the Moon Blocks. If each throw shows one side up and one down three times, your wish has been granted, and you can collect your red string.
    ⛳️ Tips:

    • Men wear the red string on their left wrist, and women wear it on their right. Don’t wait! Visit these temples, make your love prayers, and get ready to welcome romance into your life 💕
